Version 1.6.10 is now complete and ready for download. The installation and upgrade packages can be downloaded from our Google Code page.

This release only adds support for Team Fortress 2 - Engineer Update (see important note about this update below) and a fix for Counter-Strike: Source now on the Orangebox Engine.

The 1.6.x series is still in maintenance-only mode as we slowly continue to work on our major 1.7.0 release. This release fixes missing support for TF2 and CSS (OB Engine). Some tracking of new weapons (mainly mini-sentries and players getting points for re-deploying items after moving) are not functioning just yet -- there will be a SuperLogs update for TF2 once this has been resolved. We did not want to hold up release of 1.6.10, however, for the SuperLogs update. We will make a post on our web site (http://www.hlxce.com) when a SuperLogs update for TF2 is available.

The 1.6.x series is still in maintenance-only mode as we slowly continue to work on our major 1.7.0 release. Therefore, version 1.6.9 is exclusively bugfixes. There have also been updated versions of the SuperLogs plugins recently posted over at the SourceMod. All SuperLogs plugins were updated so be sure to update these. Version 1.6.8 has been released.

The 1.6.x series is still in maintenance-only mode as we slowly continue to work on our major 1.7.0 release. Therefore, version 1.6.8 is mostly bugfixes with some minor game support updates. There have also been updated version of the SuperLogs plugin for Team Fortress 2, CS:S and Insurgency recently posted over at the AM site. As noted, the next slated release with new feature will be 1.7.0. We are still very early on with development of 1.7.0, however it is shaping to be the largest release we have pushed to date. It's been a few months now since we've pushed out a release, and we wanted to assure everyone that we are still alive. The primary developers have been busy and none of us have had much time to devote to the project besides for minor commits here and there. That being said, we have a few things we wanted to make sure got out there, which we think everyone will be excited about!

Version 1.6.7 has been released.

1.6.7 continues the bug fixing for the 1.6.X branch and is tentatively the last release prior to the next feature release, 1.7. 1.6.7 fixes a longstanding bug with a lastAddress and flag issue in the database. In addition some daemon crash edge cases have been resolved. We also fixed some PHP4 compatibility issues. The full changelog is available below.

If you are still using PHP4 we highly encourage you to update to PHP5 as future version will begin to depend on components that exist in PHP5 or later. We have no intentions to break PHP4 support but will be less aggressively working on compatibility for PHP4.

The Development Team thought it was time to give a clear roadmap of where we intend on heading with HLX: CE as we set our sights on version 1.7.0. In addition the development team is wanting to collect some information back from end users on how they are using HLX: CE. If you have a few minutes please stop by our forums and cast your vote in our forum poll.

It is very important to upgrade to 1.6.6 as soon as possible as there have been some security issues discovered that are fixed in this release.

Upgrade instructions:

To upgrade from 1.6.5, download one of the Upgrade packages from our Google Code site.
To upgrade from 1.6.1 or later, download one of the Full packages from our Google Code site.
To upgrade from 1.6.0 or earlier you must upgrade, in order, to 1.6.1. Then you can use the 1.6.6 FULL package to upgrade from 1.6.1 to 1.6.6. More information is available here on our web site.

To perform the upgrade follow these steps after downloading the appropriate package:

1. Stop HLstatsX Daemon.
2. Back up your database.
3. Backup any customizations you've done to web pages that exist in the upgrade pack.
4. Upload the contents of the "web" folder to your web server.
5. Go to http://path_to_your/stats/updater/ which will upgrade your database to 1.6.6.
6. DELETE THE UPDATER FOLDER FROM YOUR WEB SERVER.
7. Replace the contents of the remaining included directories in the update pkg.
8. Merge any customizations that got replaced.
9. Update any game server plugins (Sourcemod, AMXMod, etc).
10. Start your HLstatsX Daemon again.

The last release, 1.6.4, unfortunately had to be pulled because of some last minute bugs and other things found from improper testing. We were just excited to finally get it out as we believe this resolved any outstanding bugs in the 1.6.x series. This means that we can work full force on 1.7.0, taking on all sort of new features that have been requested!

As a holiday bonus to all the bugfixes included, FernFerret has reemerged to create more of his excellent TF2 award and ribbon images. He has also filled in and created images for the TF2 weapons that were missing them.
